Youtube is a video sharing website where anybody can upload videos for others to view, comment and rate, currently owned by Google. Youtube is a form of Commons-based peer production.
On April 1, 2008, Youtube played an April Fools Day joke on its users by Rickrolling those who clicked on the faux featured videos listed on the homepage were redirected to singer Rick Astley's music video "Never Gonna Give You Up".
